Shot and edited video packages about the Mizzou football team throughout their regular SEC season, as they went undefeated at home and finished with a 9-3 record. These videos were shot and edited with the help of Dominic Achille and were made for the Maneater Student Newspaper’s multimedia department. Below are the videos edited for the Maneater’s YouTube channel, photo stills from videos taken at the game, and a short hype video.
Mizzou played Vanderbilt on Saturday, Sept. 21 in the Tigers’ first SEC clash of the season at Faurot Field. Despite being favorites going into the game the Tigers struggled to establish a lead. Students attending the game noted the competition difference with it being the first SEC game for Mizzou. The Tigers won in double overtime after Vanderbilt missed a field goal. The game was a test for a team that will face off against the Texas A&M Aggies on Oct. 5 at Kyle Field.
Mizzou and Oklahoma clashed for the first time since 2011 at Faurot Field on Saturday, Nov. 9. After quarterback Brady Cook was injured against Alabama a week prior, backup quarterback Drew Pine was called to start the game. Although most of the game was played relatively defensively, chaos struck in the last three minutes, which saw four touchdowns, including a 17-yard fumble return by Zion Young, which won the Tigers the game 30-23.
